Thursday 9th July: Arrival & Welcome

A gentle beginning to the celebrations.

Guests are warmly invited to arrive and settle in from the afternoon onwards. From 6.00pm, we will gather for an informal evening of drinks, wine, cheese, and supper at the Hall.

The evening is intended as a relaxed start to the celebrations ahead, bringing everyone together properly before the wedding weekend begins. A selection of British and New Zealand wines will be served alongside paired cheeses.

There is no formal structure to the evening, simply good food, conversation, and time to unwind after travelling.

Accommodation check in opens from 3.00pm. Most events this evening will take place indoors, although guests may wish to bring a light layer for the evening.



Friday 10th July: Country House Activities & James Bond-themed Murder Mystery Dinner

Countryside by day, black tie by night.

Friday moves between relaxed countryside activities and a more glamorous evening celebration.

During the day, guests are free to enjoy the grounds and take part in activities including duck herding and archery. There will also be plenty of time to relax, explore, or simply enjoy the Hall and gardens at a slower pace.

In the evening, everyone is invited for a James Bond-themed murder mystery dinner hosted by Moonstone Murders. Bollinger Champagne and paired wines will accompany the evening before celebrations continue into the Library afterwards.

Daytime: Comfortable country attire and practical footwear

Evening: Black tie or evening wear. A subtle James Bond influence is warmly encouraged, although entirely optional.

Practical Notes
Some daytime activities will take place on grass and uneven ground, so suitable footwear is recommended.



Saturday 11th July: The Wedding Day

St Mary the Virgin & Goldsborough Hall.

Guests are kindly asked to arrive in good time and be seated before the ceremony begins.

Following the ceremony, drinks and canapés will be served at Goldsborough Hall from 2.00pm. Guests will be called through to the Orangery at 3.45pm, with the wedding breakfast and speeches beginning at 4.00pm.

The evening will continue with dancing and celebrations in the Library.

The evening celebration will finish at 11.00pm. Taxis will be arranged to take guests back to Knaresborough Inn at that time.

Dress Code
Formal daywear

Morning dress is encouraged for the ceremony, although a suit and tie is absolutely perfect. For women, dresses or tailored outfits are ideal, and hats or fascinators are warmly encouraged.

The evening will transition more towards black tie, although there is no expectation for guests to change unless they wish to.

Practical Notes
The church is only a short walk from Goldsborough Hall. Some parts of the day will take place outdoors, weather permitting.



Sunday is intended to be relaxed and unhurried, with brunch, lawn games, afternoon tea, and a New Zealand barbecue continuing throughout the day and into the evening.

Guests are encouraged to spend the day enjoying the grounds, with live string music accompanying parts of the afternoon. The atmosphere will be informal and summery, somewhere between an English garden party and a long outdoor lunch with friends.

There is no strict timetable for the day. Guests are welcome to dip in and out of activities as they wish.

A slower pace beneath the summer trees.

Monday 13th July: Farewell

A final coffee before the journey home.

Monday morning marks the close of the celebrations.

Breakfast will be served at the Hall before guests begin their journeys home. There are no formal plans for the morning, simply time for coffee, conversation, and farewells before departure.
